Kundalini yoga contains a set of yoga exercises called kriyas and meditative practices which are designed to awaken ones consciousness to the universal nature of the soul and ones spirituality. Kundalini yoga is called the yoga of awareness because it directly affects ones consciousness, develops intuition, increases self knowledge, and unleashes the unlimited creative potential that exists within every human being. Kundalini Yoga was specifically designed with the householder in mind. Used as a combatant to the daily stress and toxins that find their way into our environment each day. The Technology is best described as a way to excel in life.
Kundalini Yoga was brought to the west by Yogi Bhajan in 1969. You may recognize his face from the yogi tea boxes at your local market. After arriving here Yogi Bhajan set out to create teachers of Kundalini yoga who would facilitate an awareness of Happiness, Healthiness, and Holiness. This form of Yoga gives you the chance to challenge yourself at whichever level of practice you may be working on. It is thought to be the fastest path one can take towards enlightenment.
